Catholic Church Reaching Out to the Poor

Pope Francis is especially a model in this regard.

An inspiration to see the Archbishop of the Vancouver See reaching out to the migrant farm laborers from Mexico working in the fields of B.C.

Here can be seen the Archbishop dining with them at a function sponsored by the Church.  Hispanic ministry is so valuable.

The migrants were given free eye exams, medical care, clothing, food, and Pontifical Mass followed by reception/dinner.  The Church has solidarity with the poor and suffering.

The Archbishop speaks fluent Spanish and was a natural with them.  There is need for our North American prelates, clergy and religious to speak fluent Spanish.
