What is Wrong with this Picture?

Big time fail. Postmodern art is fundamentally agnostic.

This is the new Blessed John Paul II statue in front of Roma Termini. Homeless people do their business inside of it. Fail e basta.

  1. And we can be sure the same agnostic post-modernism that vomited that statue upon the world is also responsible for the advertisement on the bus to the left of the statue.

  2. The Vatican was consulted on the design for this statue and it was approved. Once again someone in the Vatican entrusted to making a decision failed the Church. I bet the modernist who approved it said well at least the open space will shelter drunks, and drug addicts and prostitues from being rained on. You know it's true.

  4. At first glance I am impressed by the emptiness of the subject.

  5. It is called "Conversations" by Oliviero Rainaldi. Blame who donated it (the Foundation Silvana Paolini Angelucci Onlus).

  7. Here is a much better statue from the Basilica of Our Lady of Zapopan outside of Guadalajara, MEX. Except that the pigeons often use it as a perch, it is nice.
